The regular season is heading down the home stretch, and the Minnesota Marauders are on a roll. Winners of 11 of their last 12, the Marauders enter March at 38-19 and in prime position atop the National West Division.

“It hasn’t always pretty, but I’m really pleased by the way we’re playing lately,” said Minnesota coach Byron Davis. “We’re really hitting our stride and playing like a team.”

They can’t let up, with the Honolulu Inferno nipping at their heels just half a game back.

“That nightly challenge of keeping ahead of the Inferno is helping make sure we stay on top of our game,” said Davis. “You can’t take a night off if you want to win the division again.”

The usual suspects are leading the way, with Andrew Evans posting a team-high 22.9 points per game. Tony Pence continues to fill up the stat sheet nightly with 18.6 points, 7 assists, and 6.8 rebounds. Andrew Lawler is right in the mix with 17.9 points. The trio were honored for their excellence with all-star berths, with Evans and Pence starting and Lawler coming off the bench.

Raphael Stokes continues to be a revelation in his first year in the rotation, averaging 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds.

“We’ve got a lot of weapons who can attack in a lot of different ways,” said Davis. “We’re going to be a problem come playoff time.”
