General discussion about the league.

A demo of the proposed Summer League format has now been posted on the site at MAIN MENU > DRAFT > 2025 SUMMER LEAGUE.

The Draft Combine Summer League (DCSL) is structured as two conferences (AmCon and NatCon of course) each with a single division of six teams -- the lottery teams from the regular season.

I ran a creation draft using the upcoming rookie draft pool. Initial draft order was random and it was a "snake" draft; i.e. inverted order so the team picking last in a round got the 1st pick in the next round and so forth. Injuries and coaching were turned off and the scout is the generic league scout.

The schedule consisted of a short preseason, a 22-game "regular" season, and the playoffs. The top 2 teams in each conference received a bye for the 1st round of the postseason. The remaining teams in each conference played each other (#4 vs #5, #3 vs #6) in a single-elimination "wild card" game to see who moved on to play the #1 and #2 seeds. After the "play-in" round, each series was best of five.

If you have questions about how this was set up, how it works, or anything else please post them in Slack for discussion.
